Consistency between scenes cannot be achieved by typing in random prompts to generate a video. You need an image to act as a starting frame. Google quickly introduced this feature.

1st Week of July 2025 – Google Introduces Image to Video Capability in Veo 3

So in the first week of July 2025, Google introduced image to video inside Veo 3. But initially, it was only available to the users in the US, via the Google Flow app.

A Week Later It Comes to Gemini With the Veo 3 Fast (Lite Version of Veo 3)

But a week later, Google introduced the image to video feature even within Gemini, which could be used in any country where the Gemini AI app was available. So you could generate Veo 3 videos right from the Gemini app itself (both web and mobile).

However, there was a catch. The Veo 3 inside Gemini was actually Veo 3 Fast, like a lite version of Veo 3. But it’s still very good, as you will soon see in a demo video at the end of this article.

How to Access Veo 3 Image to Video for Free

The Gemini move was very significant because for the first time, Veo 3 became extremely affordable. Because you can simply subscribe to the Google AI Pro Plan for around $20/month and get access to it. Prior to that you had to access Veo 3 via the Google AI Ultra plan which was over $200/month, making it really inaccessible to most people.

In fact the best part is that you can actually access Veo 3 (Fast) for free for 30 days by subscribing to the Google AI Pro plan, as you get the first 30 days free. We have shown how to do this in this video.

You Can Also Access Veo 3 Image to Video in Almost Any All-in-One AI Apps

There are a lot of third-party AI apps which acquire the license to use Veo 3 within their interface. Some of the popular apps where you can use the image to video feature in Veo 3 are Krea AI and Freepik AI.

So once Veo 3 got the image to video featues, it just blew away all competition. Because not only could you keep the scenes consistent, you could do so via generating the audio for the video just by writing a prompt. That’s because Veo 3 is unique as it incorporates audio right from the prompt itself whereas in the other tools, you have to generate the audio (especially the voice-over) by performing an additional task of lip syncing.

This new feature opens up so many possibilities. You will be able to create compositions, scenes and characters which are consistent. This would mean creating longer videos, even films, relatively easily.

What is Higgsfield AI Canvas And Why is it the Best?

Before Higgsfield Canvas came out in June 2025, the number one AI image editing tool was Flux Kontext. Flux Kontext was released in May 2025 and it instantly became popular because you could edit anything in the image by typing a prompt. And the best thing was that it did not alter the main subject, which used to be the case in earlier AI tools like ChatGPT 4o AI image generator.

In fact, such was the hype that when Flux Kontext came out, we made a video tutorial on it on that very day. You can see the tutorial below:

Then either you can type the exact thing the person in the image should say or upload an audio recording. If you are doing the former, you will be able to select one of the many built-in voices that HeyGen has.

If you wish you can also specify some types of motion that this person should make. However, it usually doesn’t follow that well.

Finally, you can turn on or off the “More Expressive” option to make the avatar more or less expressive.

And then hit Generate.

That’s it!
